Warri Wolves in the match day 12 of the league on Wednesday defeated Rivers United 1-0 in Warri to improve its position on the table.
The coach, while speaking after the game said they recognized that their position on the table is not encouraging and they needed to do more to improve it
"No match in the NPFL is a small match and I knew quite well I'm going to play against a very tactical side.
"A team that has represented this country several times and is just coming out from the continent. I knew they will come here with a kind of vented anger and I psych my boys that this is the type of match I will want them to up their game because we actually need this match to get back to winning ways.
"We know our position is actually bad and we know they will come very hard on us but I told my boys to fight them tooth and nail because this type of match can go either side.
"And you know in football, the team that takes its chances, win matches," he said.
